Impacted wisdom teeth can usually be removed under local anesthesia, but they can also be removed under general anesthesia or sedation depending on the patient's request. Once anesthesia is provided, there is no pain during the procedure. A small incision is made in the gum at the relevant area, and after reaching the impacted tooth, it is extracted—either by dividing it appropriately or as a whole, depending on its position. The procedure takes an average of half an hour.
