Root canal treatment is indicated in the following situations:
- Increased pain during the nighttime
- Continuous and prolonged tooth pain that lasts for hours
- Pain triggered by external factors such as cold, heat, or contact with the tooth that does not subside with pain relievers
- Discoloration of the tooth due to trauma (such as from a fall or impact)
- Swelling in the tissues surrounding the tooth
- The formation of a pimple-like condition (fistula) on the gum near the tooth root as a result of an infection
- When prosthetic procedures (such as crowns or bridges) need to be supported from the root due to significant loss of tooth structure
