In the natural space inside the tooth, called the root canal, the nerve tissue (pulp) is removed, and the inside of the tooth is thoroughly cleaned. The cleaning process is carried out using both specialized instruments and various medicated solutions, after which the empty space is filled with a dental filling material that is compatible with the tooth tissues.
